Dentists to suspend non-urgent work

Nawanshahr, March 18
At a meeting held under the presidency of Dr Gurpal Arora here on Wednesday, executive members of the Nawanshahr branch of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) decided to suspend all non-urgent dental treatments till March 31. The decision has been taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The members discussed other measures needed to tackle the situation. “The decision has been taken to underline the need to take precautions in this grim situation,” said Dr Arora.
Dr Arora advised patients to visit hospitals and clinics only in emergency and not for routine check-ups. Dr Ashwani Dhir, founder president of the local IDAunit; Dr Sahejpal Singh Karwar, general secretary; Dr Ravneet Sharma, joint secretary; and Dr Barinderpal, treasurer were present at the meeting.
