XEN Drainage Sartaj Singh confirmed that all Dhusi bandhs along the Beas River in Kapurthala district are now fully secure with no immediate threats to the embankment. As a precautionary measure, work is ongoing to further reinforce the advance bandh near Khijarpur village.

Over 20,000 sandbags have been reserved at critical points in Amritpur and Butala villages to strengthen the embankment. The district administration has urged citizens not to believe in rumours and instead use the district-level helpline (01822-231990) for any information related to flood safety.
