Dist Community Health Officers discuss strategies to boost healthcare delivery

Ground report: Civil Surgeon urged CHOs to ensure timely online data entries for all health programmes and maintain accuracy in reporting

Under the guidance of Civil Surgeon Dr Sanjeev Bhagat, a meeting of all Community Health Officers (CHOs) of the district was held to review ongoing health initiatives and strengthen community-level healthcare delivery.

Addressing the officers, Dr Bhagat emphasised that government healthcare facilities and welfare schemes must effectively reach every section of society. He urged the CHOs to ensure timely online data entries for all health programmes and maintain accuracy in reporting.

Focusing on maternal health, Dr Bhagat stressed the importance of registering pregnant women on time and ensuring proper check-ups, especially for high-risk cases, to help reduce the maternal mortality rate in the district. He also directed officers to strengthen the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP) to effectively prevent and control TB cases.

The Civil Surgeon reiterated the Health Department's full commitment to providing the best possible healthcare facilities to the people.

Among those present at the meeting were District Health Officer Dr Rajeev Parashar, Dr Simmi Dhawan, Dr Rajeev Bhagat, Dr Nandika Khullar, DTO Dr Meenakshi, Deputy Mass Media Officer Sharandeep Singh, WHO NCD Consultant Narinder Singh and DMAO Ram Singh.
