The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Phagwara, organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session here last night under the auspices of the Punjab Medical Council (PMC). The event was attended by over 75 distinguished medical professionals from the region.

Dr. Tushar Aggarwal, President of IMA, Phagwara, welcomed the speakers and delegates. In his address, he highlighted the ongoing initiatives of the IMA Phagwara and reiterated IMA headquarters’ strong stance against “Mixopathy,” emphasizing the importance of preserving the integrity of modern medicine.

The CME featured expert lectures by renowned speakers from Panacea Hospital, Jalandhar.

Dr. Gaganjeet Kaur delivered an insightful talk on emerging trends in Water Birth and Cosmetic Genecology, shedding light on innovative practices and patient-centered care.

Dr. Amit Jain presented the latest guidelines on Preventive Cardiology, with a focus on disciplined lifestyle habits to combat the rising incidence of cardiovascular diseases, especially in younger populations.

Dr. Sooch, observer from the Punjab Medical Council, presided over the session. He provided important updates from the Council and emphasized the necessity of such CME programs to keep practitioners informed and up to date.

Dr. Poonam, Secretary of IMA Phagwara, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speakers and delegates for their active participation. She also distributed certificates to the attendees. The CME was accredited with two credit hours by the Punjab Medical Council.

Notable attendees included: Dr. S. Mahindra, Dr. G.B. Singh, Dr. Ranjit Nagpal, Dr. Rajeev Gupta, Dr. Anil Tandon, Dr. Mamta Gautam, Dr. Vivek Gumber, Dr. Eeshu, Dr. Sulbha, Dr. Chiman Arora, Dr. Makkar, and Dr. Ramesh Arora, among others.

The session concluded on a high note, with attendees commending the informative lectures and the efforts of IMA Phagwara in promoting continuous learning in the medical fraternity.
