Dr Ambedkar remembered

The 68th Parinirvan Divas (death anniversary) of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar was observed by various organisations, including the BSP, Congress, Ambedkar Sena, Guru Ravi Dass Tiger Force and BJP here on Friday.

The leaders recalled Dr Ambedkar for the services he rendered to the country and society. They also demanded world heritage status for the “Parinirvan Bhoomi” (death place) of Dr Ambedkar in Delhi and its development in a big way.

Later, they garlanded the statue and photos of Dr Ambedkar at different functions. Former minister and AAP Halqa in-charge Joginder Singh Maan, PPCC delegate Balbir Raja Sodhi, BSP leaders Jarnail Nangal, Ashok Kumar, Harbhajan Singh Balalon, Parveen Banga, Harbhajan Suman, former Union minister Som Parkash and Vijay Sampla attended functions held at different places and paid tributes to Dr Ambedkar.
