Jalandhar: Industrialists from Dubai visited Mehr Chand Polytechnic. They took a round of college laboratories, auditorium, library and also saw the infrastructure. Principal Dr Jagroop Singh honoured the young entrepreneurs, namely Neeraj Kumar, CEO of Trend Industries, Varinder Sharma, general manager and Sagar Shah, MD of Tarnedo Event Management. Neeraj Kumar said he was an alumni of the college and presently in Dubai, apart from Trend Industries, MN Cargo Transport, Precise Building and Roads, Smart Zone Business Management, he is also looking after many other companies. He attributed the entire credit for his present position to the polytechnic. Sagar Shah said he usually visit colleges and universities, but today he was impressed to see the college environment, teaching methodology and the equipments installed there. They also said their recruitment team would visit Mehr Chand Polytechnic shortly for a placement drive. They also extended their invitation to Dr Jagroop Singh to visit Dubai.
Farewell party
Jalandhar: The Nobel School had a historical and memorable day today on its campus. Students of Class IX bid adieu to the students of the first batch of Class X of the school. Students of Class IX, along with their Class in-charge Neeta, welcomed the students of Class X in a traditional way. The students presented cultural iems and a modelling show. Mr Nobelian and Ms Nobelian title was won by Kulish and Jasleen Kaur, respectively. Mr Good Looking and Ms Charming was won by Gurkirat Singh and Gurleen Kaur, respectively. The students of Grade X also prepared thank you card and gifts for the school chairman Prof CL Kochher, managing director Kumar Shiv Kochhar and principal Meenakshi Mehta. The chairman said the students who would score more than 90 per cent marks in Class X board examination be awarded with complete rebate in annual tuition fee for Grade XI.
Farewell given to Class XII students
Jalandhar: Students of Eklavya School on Thursday bid farewell to the outgoing Class XII. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers. Arvinder Kaur principal of the school was the guest on the occasion. The ceremony commenced with the welcome of Class XII students. Harneetpal Kaur and Baldeep Kaur of Class XI welcomed and introduced the guest. Class XI presented songs for Class XII students. Rishi Arora, a student of Class XI sang a song. in front of all. Principal Arvinder Kaur and coordinator Rita Rani gave gifts and best wishes to each student. The title ceremony saw students receiving the titles and a token of love was specially planned for it. Titles were Miss Eklavya- Muskaan, Mr Eklavya- Saksham, Miss Elegant Nikita Sachdeva and Mr Handsome, Neeraj.
Dental check-up CAMP
Jalandhar: The NSS wing of DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology organised a free dental check-up camp on its campus in association with Sujan Singh Dental Implant Centre. A team of senior specialist dental surgeons carried out a comprehensive dental check-up of the students of the Institute. The camp was initiated with dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent from them. The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay. On completion of the dental check-up each student was given a patient card, a report summary of the diagnosed problem and the recommended dental treatment plan. Students were also given discount vouchers for different dental problem treatment. TNS
