Dy DEO assesses reading level of students at government school
Hoshiarpur, July 8
In a bid to enhance the quality of education in the district, Deputy District Education Officer Sukhwinder Singh conducted a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the reading levels of children in various schools. The move aims to identify areas that require improvement and provide targeted support to needy students.
The assessment, which covered various aspects of reading skills — including vocabulary and comprehension — was conducted at several schools in the district. Singh worked tirelessly to evaluate the reading abilities of students, providing valuable information about their strengths and weaknesses. He checked the reading levels of students at Government Elementary School, Manjhi. District Coordinator Rajnish Kumar Guliani was also present on the occasion.
He said, “The primary objective of this initiative is to ensure that every child in the district has the reading skills necessary to succeed in their academic pursuits. We want to identify areas where the students need additional support and provide them with the resources they need to excel.”
He said the assessment’s results will be used to inform data-driven decisions, adjust teaching methods and provide targeted interventions to improve reading outcomes. The Deputy District Education Officer’s efforts are aimed at laying a solid foundation for future academic success and promoting love for reading among students. He asked the children to pay special attention to reading and also instructed the teachers to bring better exam results. This initiative has been widely appreciated by District Education Officer Kamaldeep Kaur, parents, teachers and educationists, who consider it an important step towards increasing the quality of education in the district.
