As a part of the PM SHRI scheme, 223 students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Jalandhar Cantt, accompanied by 12 teachers, embarked on an enriching educational trip to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. This visit, conducted under the leadership of Principal Ravinder Kumar and Vice-Principal Ugra Mohan Yadav, aimed to foster scientific curiosity and experiential learning among students. They explored a range of interactive exhibits and enjoyed captivating attractions, including a laser show, 3D show, virtual expedition, simulator experience and the fascinating Dino Park.

Annual Sports Day

Jalandhar: Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld celebrated its annual sports day ‘FunAthon’. Officiating Principal Nidhi Ghai and headmistress (primary) Namrata Sharma declared the event open. Different races were organised for the children and their fathers such as collecting the cones race, hurdle race, hoola-hoop race etc. Students also presented a PT show and ring drill for the parents. All the students and their parents participated in the events enthusiastically.

Best Science Teacher Award

Jalandhar: Dr Harpreet Singh, Head PG Department of Bioinformatics, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, has been bestowed with the Best Science Teacher (colleges) Award in form of merit certificate, gold medal and a cash prize of Rs 7,500 by the Punjab Academy of Sciences during the 28th Punjab Science Congress held at Khalsa College, Amritsar. The award is presented to the person who has contributed exceptionally well in the field of sciences, taking into consideration various components, including high impact research, professional development, societal outreach and achievements of the students.

Role of Physics in Medical Field

Jalandhar: The Department of Physics, under the aegis of the Physics Association at DAV College, Jalandhar, organised a DBT-supported guest lecture on the 'Role of physics in the medical field'. It was delivered by Rajiv Dhawan, associate professor at Government Medical College, Amritsar. Dr Kunwer Rajeev, vice-principal and head of department, emphasised how students can pursue this dynamic and evolving field. Officiating Principal, Dr SK Tuli highlighted the importance of such interactions for students’ growth.
