During the meeting, the licensees were told that cases of misuse of empty liquor bottles used in the parties held in marriage palaces/banquet halls/hard bars have come to light at various places in Punjab. In some cases, these empty bottles are being ‘refilled’ and resold by mischievous elements. To control this, the licensees were made aware of the rules mentioned in the Excise Policy 2025-26 and asked to strictly follow these instructions so that the sale of spurious liquor filled in empty bottles could be stopped.

The licensees were appealed to extend full cooperation to the Excise Department to stop this. At the meeting, the licensees assured to strictly follow the instructions issued by the department.
