Jalandhar: To help students of Nobel School overcome their stage fear and give them a platform to build self-confidence and explore their inner strength, a fancy dress competition was organised. They were dressed as their favourite character and participated in the competition. As exams are approaching, so it was the nice way to beat the stress as well. They showcased costumes such as Cindrella, Diljeet Dosanjh, Suzuka, Vaayu Pari, Chhota Bheem, Akshay Kumar, Aurora Barbie, Neeru Bajwa, Batman, Siddhu Moose Wala. The students spoke confidently about the character they portrayed. The judges for the competition were Charu and Sweety. Sachroop, Daisy,Harman, Brahjot, Maulik,Anushree, Alankriti, Lukesh, got the Ist position. Reet, Harnoor, Paras, Joravar, and Niharikagot got the second position. Harjaap, Nimisha, Vyomika, Kusam,Balneet, Mannat, Ranveer and Ritika got the third position.
Achievers’ Day celebrated
Jalandhar: To honour students of HMV Collegiate Senior Secondary School, Achievers’ Day 2020 was celebrated with exuberance. The event commenced with an invocation to the Almighty by kindling the lamp of knowledge and wisdom. Principal Prof Ajay Sareen and coordinator Meenakshi Syal extended welcome to the chief guest Prof Lalit Awasthi, Director, NIT, Jalandhar. Prof Sareen, appreciated and congratulated all prize winners for achieving the distinction. He advised the students to explore their potential. Reminding the students about the vision of ex-President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, he also told students that it was their responsibility to take the nation towards the zenith of progress and prosperity. Around 100 students were awarded for their achievements.
Students celebrate valentine’s day
Jalandhar: CT World School and CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, celebrated Valentine’s Day. Kids made chits and expressed their wishes for their loved ones, including teachers and parents and these were later pasted on a heart shaped tree. The students of Classes VII and VIII researched about the history of Valentine’s Day and highlighted the significance in the morning assembly. The students of the department of fashion design, CT Group, Shahpur Campus, designed a display window. Students expressed their feeling of love by decorating the window using elements like roses, hearts, cake they used red white and black colour palette to complete their theme.
Jasleen excels in MSc Zoology
Jalandhar: Students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya in MSc Zoology (Sem III) performed well in the MSc Zoology, Guru Nanak Dev University. Jasleen Kaur bagged the first position with 84.21 per cent marks. Sherry Behal bagged the second position with 81.90. Harkiran Kaur bagged the third position with 81.10. A total of eight students passed the examination with distinction. Principal Prof Atima Sharma Dwivedi honoured the outstanding students.
tw0-day Fair on psychology
Jalandhar: The Psychology Forum of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, organised a two-day fair to help everyone find answers to the infinite questions within. Nearly 200 students and 50 faculty members took various tests as – personality, anxiety, emotional, intelligence tests, projective techniques, music therapy, dance therapy, group discussion and counselling.
