Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal today reviewed the progress of Smart City Sultanpur Lodhi projects. Chairing the meeting of the ‘City Level Technical Committee’ regarding the Smart City, Deputy Commissioner told the officials to personally monitor the development projects .

Reviewing the ongoing projects such as construction of four-lane roads, sewerage treatment plants, smart parks, smart schools and anganwadis, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to ensure their timely completion.

To speed up the work of the Integrated Command Control Centre under the Safe City project, the he also ordered the constitution of a committee under the Sultanpur Lodhi SDM.

Regarding the construction of a sewerage treatment plant, which has to be completed by June 2023, the Deputy Commissioner said officials of the Sewerage Board should ensure the completion of its work within the stipulated time, which will not only facilitate the cleaning of the city’s sewage, but also provide farmers the treated water for irrigation.

He directed the Public Works Department officials to speed up the tender process for the new administrative complex at Sultanpur Lodhi. Taking a serious note in the delay of demarcation for the construction of smart parks, he said this work should be completed within few days .

He asked the heads of all departments to personally monitor the ongoing works related to their respective departments and submit a weekly report. During the meeting, Sultanpur Lodhi SDM Chandrajoti and heads of other departments were present.
