According to officials, a patrolling team first noticed the flames and immediately alerted the factory’s fire brigade. The firefighters launched a rescue operation and managed to bring the blaze under control after nearly an hour of effort.
RCF’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Anuj Kumar said that although the physical documents were destroyed, the stock records of the shell shop remain safe as they are digitally stored in the factory’s computer system.
Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by short-circuit, likely triggered by dampness in the walls following recent rainfall. The RPF security team has launched a probe into the matter to ascertain the exact cause of the blaze.
