Sharing details about the protest, Divisional President Kewal Krishna said that despite holding several meetings with the Forest Minister and Finance Minister of Punjab regarding the demands of temporary employees serving in the Forest and Wildlife Department, not a single demand has been fulfilled.

The organisation stated that during the previous Akali and Congress governments, forest workers were regularised without any conditions. However, the present Aam Aadmi Party government is now imposing conditions for making temporary employees permanent.
