Forms filled for needy persons

Phagwara: Prem Nagar Seva Society, Phagwara, on Sunday organised a camp at Senior Citizen Care Centre, under the stewardship of former Nagar Council president Malkiat Singh Ragbotra and filled forms for the needy under various welfare schemes of the state government. Raghbotra said in order to make the people aware about the public welfare scheme run by the government, the forms of the needy residents of Mohalla Prem Nagar, Guru Nanak Pura, Master Sadhu Ram Nagar and Khera Road had been filled. This includes about 40 old age and widow pension forms, which will be submitted to the Social Security Department after checking the documentary errors. He said Kanta Sharma, Puneet Kumar, Vishwa Mitra Sharma, Mohan Lal Taneja, Ram Lubhaya, Joginder Singh Kundi, Pankaj Rawat, Mandeep Sharma and Baldev Sharma were instrumental in making the camp a success. District executive of BJP constituted

Phagwara: The BJP district president, Rakesh Duggal, in consultation with state president, Ashwani Sharma, constituted the district executive of BJP here on Sunday. While talking to mediapersons on Sunday, he said the working committee comprising 45 members, including 20 office-bearers in the executive. Duggal said Surjit Singh, Pawan Dheer, Ashok Mahla, Pawan Sethi, Mohinder Thapar, Naresh Sharma, Rajesh Sharma Rukki, Anurag Mankhand have been appointed as vice-presidents, while Inderjit Khalian, Jagdish Sharma will discharge the duties of district general secretaries. Rakesh Duggal said apart from Phagwara Municipal Corporation elections, the executive had been constituted mainly for the 2022 Assembly elections. OC
