The campaign, led by SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, saw active participation from local volunteers and Home Guards. On Monday and Tuesday, fumigation was carried out in 31 institutions, including Government Senior Secondary Schools at Chohal, Kharkan, Ajjowal, Naru Nangal, Chabbewal and several High Schools and Anganwadi centres.

SDM Gursimranjit Kaur emphasised that the primary objective of the initiative is to create a healthy and safe environment for both students and teachers. She assured that the fumigation process would continue in the coming days to cover all schools and Anganwadi centres across the district.
