Fundraiser show held to support flood relief

In view of the recent floods that have severely impacted Punjab, CT Group of Institutions took an initiative to extend a helping hand by organising a fundraiser show with renowned comedian Rajiv Thakur, widely recognised for his performances on The Kapil Sharma Show.

The primary intention of this fundraiser was to stand with the people of the state in their time of need, and to contribute towards the Punjab Flood Relief Funds through community support.

The objective behind organising this fundraiser was not just to collect donations, but to bring the community together in solidarity. Punjab, facing the aftermath of devastating floods, requires collective efforts and compassionate contributions. Events like these become a bridge between communities, institutions, and individuals, ensuring that help reaches where it is needed the most.

The evening witnessed the presence of Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, Dr Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Executive Director Dr Nitin Tandon, Co-Joint Managing Director Tanika Channi, and Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur, CT Group of Institutions. Their encouragement and support highlighted the commitment of the institution towards social responsibility and humanitarian causes.

The fundraiser received an overwhelming response, with not only students of the CT, but also residents from across the city joining hands to contribute generously for the noble cause. The participation of the community reaffirmed the belief that together, greater change can be brought.

Adding a spark of laughter to the noble cause, Rajiv Thakur’s performance enthralled the audience while keeping the purpose of the event at its heart. Sharing his thoughts, Rajiv Thakur said, “It is truly fulfilling to use my art to bring smiles while also contributing to a bigger cause. Punjab is my home, and when it suffers, it is our responsibility as a community to step up and help.”
