Guru Gobind Singh Public School (GGPS), Nainowal Vaid, has once again upheld its reputation for academic excellence as its student, Snehjit Kaur Saini, emerged as the district topper in the CBSE Class X board examinations, securing an outstanding 99.4 per cent. Snehjit achieved perfect scores in Mathematics, Science and IT, and also secured third position in the state of Punjab.

In recognition of her remarkable achievement, Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur, Ashika Jain, felicitated Snehjit at the DC office. Another stellar performer from the school, Vaneet Kaur Sahi, who scored 97.8 per cent, was also honoured during the ceremony.

Both students were accompanied by the Principal of GGPS, Harjit Singh. The school reported commendable performances by several other students as well. Sawjot Singh Dhillon scored 93.8 per cent, Vrishti achieved 93.6 per cent, Harleen Kaur secured 90.2 per cent and Japneet Kaur earned 89 per cent.

Tarsem Singh, President of the Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society (Bokaro), along with Secretary Surinderpal Singh and Management Members JS Sandhu and Rajvinder Singh Dhillon, extended heartfelt congratulations to the achievers and their families.

Maj Gen Balwinder Singh (Retd), State Convener of INTACH Punjab, also lauded the toppers for their exceptional performance. He praised the school's commitment to both academic and cultural excellence, highlighting its active participation in INTACH heritage competitions and its role in organising meaningful events such as the recent seminar on “Hari Singh Nalwa: Life and Legacy.”

He emphasised that the school continues to set a high benchmark in the region through its dedication to holistic education, seamlessly blending academic rigour with cultural and historical awareness.
