Jalandhar: Global Forgiveness Day was celebrated in CJS Public School under the guidance of school Chairperson Neena Mittal and Principal Dr Ravi Suta. A special morning assembly was organised by students of Class VII in which anchoring was done by Jasleen, speech by Salvia, news by Nitika, word of the day by Simranand, thought of day Harshita. The Principal told the students about the benefits of forgiving others. People who forgive others are happier and healthier than those who hold grudges against others.

Birth Anniversary celebrated

Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of Rajeshwari Paul, wife of Late Dr Stya Paul, Founder president, Apeejay Education Society. The celebrations began with an address by Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, said Rajeshwari Paul’s vision was to facilitate holistic development in the educational arena, through the promotion of art. Dr Bagga concluded his address saying that even though Rajeshwari Paul’s physical presence is not there, her legacy of art, culture, and generosity of spirit continues to live and thrive in the institutions of Apeejay Education. Sweets were distributed to staff in the end.

Programme on job avenues

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has designed intensive programmes for career opportunities to students. Throwing more light on it, Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi said recognising the evolving needs of today’s job market, KMV had started diploma programmes in a diverse range of disciplines, encompassing areas such as technology, healthcare, business administration, hospitality, and more. The college is offering programmes such as diploma in geriatric care (old-age care and nutrition), early childhood care and education, cosmetology, computer application, retail management, management & secretarial practices, animation, artificial intelligence, beauty & wellness, hospitality & tourism, nutrition, textile design and apparel technology.
