The first pink ball cricket tournament was organised by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Cricket Academy, Mal Majra.
The HDCA team won the championship by defeating Model Town Cricket Club, Hoshiarpur, by two wickets.
After winning the toss, Model Town Club decided to bat first and scored 176 runs in 20 overs.
Captain Gaurav Sharma and Sunny Kumar scored 83 runs and 33 runs, respectively. Bowling for HDCA, Hairal, Gurmukh, Karamveer and Kulveer Happy took two wickets each.
The HDCA chased the target and scored 179 runs at the loss of eight wickets in 19.4 overs. Hairal Vashisht scored 73 runs, Nishu 31, Captain Kuldeep Dhami 15, Pulkit Sharma 12 and Amritpal 10 runs.
Hairal Vashisht was awarded ‘Man of the Match’ award for his brilliant innings and taking two wickets. Karamveer of Model Town Club was awarded ‘Man of the Series’.
