A team of the Health Department, led by the District Health Officer, raided confectionery and grocery stores near the grain market in Garhshankar city on Thursday.

The team collected samples and destroyed expired food items and instructed everyone to sell only good quality food items. In this regard, District Health Officer Dr Jatinder Bhatia said food items were checked at grocery, confectionery and food shops.

During the raid, samples of food items were collected and products like edible oil, khoya barfi, candy, etc, were checked. Food items of low quality and those which were not as per the standards were destroyed. Dr Abhinav Khosla and AFSO Vivek Kumar were also present.
