In memory of Olympian Varinder Singh, an important member of the 1975 World Cup winning Indian hockey team, the third Olympian Varinder Singh Memorial 5A Side Women’s Hockey Tournament will be held from April 4.

The two-day event that will conclude on April 5 will be held at the hockey ground of Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar. Giving information in this regard, Olympian Varinder Singh’s son Gurpreet Singh said that preparations for the tournament have been completed. Six women’s teams are participating in the tournament.
