In an effort to provide timely relief to families affected by the recent floods, the Hoshiarpur district administration has launched a comprehensive digital donation drive. The initiative aims to ensure efficient collection of funds and relief materials through various digital platforms. Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain announced that contributors’ names and mobile numbers will be recorded to maintain transparency in the process.

Donations can be made via an online link, QR code, UPI ID, or direct bank transfer. In addition to financial contributions, the administration is also collecting in-kind donations such as dry rations, tarpaulins, mattresses and other daily essentials. Relief materials can be sent through the following link: https://tinyurl.com/redcrosshoshiarpur or by contacting the helpline at 79861-96391.

The Deputy Commissioner shared that, thanks to the combined efforts of the Red Cross Society, the district administration and various NGOs, essential supplies have already reached numerous affected families. She highlighted the critical role of industrialists, business leaders and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in bolstering the relief efforts. The support from industries, she said, will not only provide necessary financial aid but will also facilitate the streamlined distribution of vital relief material.

Appealing to the collective sense of responsibility, Jain stated, “This is a time for humanity to come together. Every contribution, whether large or small, can bring hope and relief to families striving to rebuild their lives.”

She urged industries, trade organisations and residents of Hoshiarpur to actively participate in the relief drive and offer their support to those impacted by the devastating floods. The administration has called on citizens to make the most of the digital platforms available, ensuring that aid is mobilised and delivered to those in need as quickly as possible.
