Hoshiarpur DC bags award for best electoral practices

Hoshiarpur District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal has bagged the state award for the best electoral practices from the Election Commission. The award will be conferred on 15th National Voter’s Day. The district administration received a communique in this regard from the Chief Electoral Office stipulating Deputy Commissioner’s name for overall best electoral practices on Friday.

Referring to the achievement, the DC gave the credit of the achievement to the officials involved in the election process in the district. She said the award reflects the hard work, dedication and zeal of the officials, who ensure the free, fair and peaceful poll process as well as carrying out of election-related activities efficaciously at the grassroots level. She also commended the officials for systematic and sustained voter’s awareness programmes, which yield results in term of voter participation throughout the district. She also thanked the Chief Electoral Office for time-to-time guidance and support in launching election-related activities.
