Hoshiarpur kickboxing players win state championship

In the state-level competition of the Punjab Kickboxing Association held in Bathinda from April 26 to 28 recently, Hoshiarpur players performed brilliantly and brought laurels to the district. A total of 36 players from the district participated in the competition....

In the state-level competition of the Punjab Kickboxing Association held in Bathinda from April 26 to 28 recently, Hoshiarpur players performed brilliantly and brought laurels to the district.

A total of 36 players from the district participated in the competition. These promising players won a total of 33 medals by winning 18 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze medals. On the basis of excellent performance, the team secured first position in the overall trophy and brought Hoshiarpur to the top in Punjab.

The players returned to the district after the competition were given a warm welcome by District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh Bajwa. He congratulated all the players and appreciated their hard work, discipline and dedication. Bajwa also praised the players’ coach Jogi and said that his guidance is the basic foundation of this success.

He said such dedicated coaches and committed players will bring laurels to the district at the national and international level in the coming times. He also motivated all the players to continue performing with the same dedication and enthusiasm in the future as well.
