Hoshiarpur lad Ashish Ghai has been selected in the Punjab cricket team for Colonel CK Nayudu U-23 cricket tournament. Dr Pankaj Shiv, chairman, tournament committee of the association, said: “Ashish Ghai is an emerging cricketer from Hoshiarpur”. Earlier, Ashish had played for Punjab in the U-23 cricket tourney. He was also captain of the PU Chandigarh cricket team. Shiv said Ashish had also played in the U-16 and U-19 tournaments for Punjab in the National School Games. In 2019, he has also played club cricket in England.
