In a meeting held in Mahindwani village under the leadership of Ashok Kumar Sharma, president of the ‘Save People, Save Villages Struggle Committee Ilaka Beet’, residents vowed to take a strong stand against pollution caused by industries and crushers operating in the border areas of Himachal Pradesh.

The committee expressed grave concern over the unchecked air, water, land, and noise pollution affecting the region. Members resolved to wage a sustained battle to end this environmental crisis. A mass awareness campaign will precede the struggle to mobilise villagers and districts for collective action.

Ashok Sharma criticised the state government and administration for failing to honour the promises made to the committee in 2022-23, leaving victims without relief.
