Hoshiarpur top performer in citizen-centric services

Hoshiarpur tops in the state in providing government services at the door step within a month. It made a record with 88 per cent service delivery rate providing the services to 558 people and so far delivered certificates to 525 people at their homes who had called on toll free number 1076. Hoshiarpur residents were getting 43 types of government services at home and 11 service assistants have been deployed in five tehsils
DC Komal Mittal said that in one month, 597 applications were received in the district, out of which 558 were approved and 39 were pending. She said that the residents of the district can call toll free number 1076 to get the 43 types of services available at service centres, sitting at home. They can tell the government representative at what time he can come to their house and take their photos or other documents and provide government services. Whatever certificate will be made under the government service, it will also be delivered to the person by a government representative at his home.
The Deputy Commissioner said that with the start of this service, the crowd in the offices was also reducing. She appealed to the residents of the district to take advantage of these services as much as possible. District IT manager of Administrative Reforms Department Ranjit Singh said that this service had started in Hoshiarpur district from December 11, 2023. Appealing to the residents, he said that only after completing their file, they should book an appointment on toll free number 1076. He informed that in this regard, 11 service assistants have been deployed for five tehsils of the district.
