Under the project, which would cost around Rs11.4 crore, treated water would be released from the Sewage Treatment Plant, Piplanwala, which would cater to irrigation needs of farmers of seven villages — Piplanwala, Purhiran, Bassi Daulat Khan, Singriwala, Kurangana, Pandori Rukman and Maruli Brahmana. DC Apneet Riyait said the irrigation project had already been chalked out and shortly the work of underground drainage would be started. — OC
