IK Gujral Punjab Technical University
Jalandhar: The students of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) organised a live telecast of Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony on campus. Registrar SK Misra and other officials were present in the event held at Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji auditorium. Misra congratulated everyone on the glorious day. Dean academics Vikas Chawla, dean research and development Hitesh Sharma, dean student welfare Gaurav Bhargava, Hoshiarpur camps head Yadvinder Singh Brar and others were present at the student initiated event.
Swami Sant Dass Public School
Swami Sant Dass Public School hosted Sahodaya Inter-school Research Paper Presentation. The competition saw participation from 19 teams. The competition begun in July when students presented abstracts on research topics of their choosing, the final presentation was submitted in January. Principal Sonia Mago appreciated the contribution of all students and emphasised on the importance of research in developing a scientific temperament. The first position was bagged by Parneet Kaur of Woodland Overseas School followed by Chinmaye Jain of Mayor World School and Gagandeep Kaur of CJS Public School. Ridhi Sharda of Cambridge International Public School, Phagwara bagged the appreciation prize.
MGN Public School
A capacity building programme on ‘value education’ was organised by the CBSE in MGN Public School. Anju Mehta, principal, Swami Sant Das Public School, Phagwara and Vimmi Sethi, former PGT English, Springdale Public School were the resource persons for the workshop. Various activities were organised to understand the concept and importance of value education. Resource persons highlighted the challenges schools faced and effectiveness of value education. Various teaching methods were discussed through modules and value cards.
State Public School
The management of State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, telecast the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple live on campus. The joyful screams of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ echoed throughout the school premises. President Group of State Public Schools and principal Savina Bahl congratulated the entire community on experiencing the much awaited consecration of the temple.
The Gurukul School
A special function was organised in The Gurukul School on the auspicious day of the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple. Students depicted scenes from the life of Lord Rama through skits. Director Sushma Handa and principal Radha Gakhar advised the students to follow the ideals of Lord Rama.
St Soldier Educational Society
A langar was organised by St Soldier Educational Society to celebrate the consecration of the idol of Lord Rama in Ayodhya. An LED screen was installed for the live telecast of the ceremony. Vice-Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra said it was a historic moment for Ram devotees. The staff organised a langar and chanted Hanuman Chalisa.
DAV Public School
Amritsar: DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, organised a special assembly to mark the consecration of Ram Temple. Staff members enlightened students about the life and teachings of Lord Rama. The students and staff also took part in a havan that was organised on campus. The atmosphere resonated with the chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The live telecast of the ceremony in Ayodhya was broadcast live. Principal Pallavi Sethi advised the students to inculcate Lord Rama’s values of integrity, humility, bravery and compassion in their lives.
Spring Dale School
The quizzers of Spring Dale proved their mettle by winning the national level ‘Bharat Ko Jano Quiz’ competition organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad, at Kurukshetra. The school team comprised Raghuvansh Wadhwa of Class XI and Gursidak Kaur Boparai of Class X, guided by their mentor Neeru Issar. While congratulating the team, the principal said heritage education had always been an integral part of the school’s teaching under the ‘Heritage Programme’.
