The North Zone Youth Festival 2025 of IK Gujral Punjab Technical University commenced on Wednesday at CT Institute of Engineering, Management and Technology, Shahpur Campus.
The two-day cultural extravaganza, themed “Rangla Punjab and Viksit Bharat @2047”, has brought together over 19 teams from districts including Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Pathankot and Jalandhar.
The festival opened with a vibrant display of Punjab’s art, rhythm and expression, reflecting the spirit of the national vision Viksit Bharat @2047 — a movement towards a creative, progressive and inclusive India.
Day one featured a range of engaging performances and competitions such as bhangra, mimicry, one-act plays, singing, on-the-spot photography, painting, essay writing, poem recitation and a variety of fine arts and literary events.
Addressing the gathering, Chairperson Channi said, “It’s a proud moment to see Punjab’s youth come together to celebrate art, culture and unity.” Dr Manbir Singh added, “The North Zone Youth Festival is more than an event. It is an emotion that connects young minds to their roots while inspiring innovation and excellence.”
