The event was supported by Bharat Biotech, whose representatives, Kaushal and Kamal, were acknowledged for providing vaccines at subsidised rates and arranging refreshments for the participants.

The session focused on Typhoid fever prevention. IMA Jalandhar President Dr MS Bhutani and Dr Pooja Kapoor addressed the gathering, explaining the causes, complications, and the importance of timely vaccination—particularly highlighting the effectiveness of a single-dose Typhoid shot.

In a key announcement, Dr Bhutani stated that the IMA would vaccinate its entire staff in the coming weeks. “The order for the Typhoid vaccine will be placed shortly, and a follow-up camp will be organised in 15–20 days to administer the doses,” he informed.

Extending the initiative beyond its internal staff, IMA also plans to vaccinate factory workers, with an estimated budget of Rs 35,000 allocated for the initiative. The move was well-received by attendees, especially industrial representatives present at the venue.

Dr Pooja Kapoor further used the platform to raise awareness about other essential adult vaccinations. “Vaccines against Flu, Pneumonia, Cervical Cancer, and Shingles are vital and often neglected in adulthood,” she said, while also providing information on Jaundice prevention.

Prominent owners of the Bhandari Car Bazaar, including Palvinder Kumar, Jatinder Kumar, Varinder Kumar, Rameet Bhandari, Anmol Bhandari, Vicky Chhabra, and Raj Kumar Malhotra, were present at the event. They appreciated IMA’s efforts in bringing health education and services closer to the public.
