The Phagwara unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), led by Dr Tushar Aggarwal, organised a public awareness seminar today to mark World Hypertension Day.
Eminent physician Dr Anil Tandon educated the audience on the latest hypertension guidelines and preventive measures to control blood pressure, such as morning walks, consuming salt in moderation, regular exercise, and yoga.
Dr Mohan Singh highlighted the importance of regular check-ups and raised awareness about the complications arising from high blood pressure. IMA Secretary Dr Poonam stressed the significance of blood pressure check-ups for young adults and pregnant women.
