Phagwara: On a complaint lodged by Gurpreet Singh Sagoo, manager of the Phagwara branch of IndusInd Bank, the city police have registered a case against one bank employee Suraj Kumar of Khalwara Gate, Phagwara, and his another unknown accomplice on the charge of duping village customer Kulwinder Singh of village Atholi of around Rs 9 lakh. No arrest has been made so far
Two held for snatching cash
Phagwara: The police have arrested two miscreants for snatching cash. The accused are residents of Bajwa Kalan village. Sukhwant Singh of Jagatpur Sohal village complained to the police that he was returning home on December 31 evening when the accused waylaid, assaulted and snatched cash from him.
16 booked for assault
Phagwara: The police have booked 16 persons on the charges of assaulting a villager. Tanpreet Singh of Hoshiarpur district told the police that the accused and his two relatives attacked him on November 7 in a playground, seriously injured and threatened him.
