Phagwara: All patwaris belonging to The Revenue Patwar Union, Punjab, will observe complete bandh on December 30 in solidarity with striking farmers who have announced a state-level protest on Monday. In a statement issued by Balraj Singh Aujla, state president of the union, the offices of all patwaris of the state would remain close on Monday.

35-year-old man killed in mishap

Phagwara: A 35-year-old man was killed in a road accident. Investigating Officer Gurnam Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Jagjit Singh, a resident of Khurram Pur colony, Mehat Pur. Jogindar Singh, father of the deceased, told the police his son was killed in a road accident. The police, acting under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, handed over the body to the family after a post-mortem.
