Indefinite dharna of farmers enters Day 9
Though blockades on the national highways were lifted after the agreement between Ministers Lal Chand Kataruchuck, Gurmit Singh Khudian and representatives of the farmers in the presence of ADGP SPS Parmar, DIG Satinder Singh, SSP Vatsala Gupta, DC Amit Kumar Panchal and SDM Jashanjit Singh, the farmers from the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and BKU (Doaba) continued their indefinite dharna near police outpost at Sugar Mill Chowk, Phagwara, on the ninth day today.
Such symbolic protests are being carried out to ensure the fulfilment of assurances given by the ministers in the meeting held on October 27 at Club Cabbana Resort, Phagwara.
