Residents will get a new facility as Indigo is set to connect Adampur airport with the country’s business capital, Mumbai. As per the finalised plan, the first flight shall take off from June 5.

As the time of starting the flight is around summer vacation in schools, the airlines company is hoping to make a good start. The flight will reach Adampur airport at 4:25 pm and shall take off for Mumbai International Airport at 5 pm after a 35 minute halt. Airbus A-320 Neo with a capacity of 186 seats shall be deployed by the company for the purpose.

The civil airport services had been started at Adampur in 2018 with Spicejet beginning flights for IGI Delhi. Two more routes, including those for Jaipur and Mumbai, had been added in 2019 but owing to Covid, the services had been suspended.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
