The story of the play revolves around two soldiers from different nations — Indian Gurbaksh Singh and Pakistani Shah Nawaz — who meet each other in a burnt village in the jungle when trying to escape from the attack of a tribal group.

The play brought to fore the way people seek love and camaraderie and undergo heartbreak amidst the ravages of war.

The Punjabi Theatre Festival is set to feature Amarjit Grewal’s latest play, ‘Deihi’ on Tuesday evening.
