Issue challan for dumping waste on roads, Phagwara officials told

Phagwara Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr Nayan Jassal today inspected a garbage secondary point on Hoshiarpur road. She directed the staff to lift the garbage and spray herbal sanitiser daily to keep the surroundings clean and hygienic.
She also checked public toilets in the main market and instructed the staff to ensure cleanliness. She ordered to set up 13 secondary points and daily lifting of garbage. Dr Jassal appealed to all residents not to litter or throw garbage on roads or in vacant plots.
ADC-cum-MC Commissioner Dr Jassal also instructed health branch officials to issue challan to violators for littering. She also appealed to the residents to segregate wet and dry waste and then hand over it to door-to-door collectors to keep the city clean.
