When Davinder didn't return home for hours on Thursday, his family sounded the Apra police. Subsequently, the naib tehsildar and police visited their house.

The youth's mother, Balbir Kaur, said, "My son returned home last night and was perturbed. At 5 am, he left on his bike without informing us and is yet to return."

Naib tehsildar Sunita Gillan said, "It is perplexing as to why a youth who just returned home last night would leave so early in the morning again. He had been dropped at his house by the revenue official last night. The administration is deeply concerned and is searching for him."
