Jalandhar city police demolish drug trafficker’s illegal property
In a crackdown under the 'Yudh Nashe De Virudh' campaign, the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar demolished an illegal property belonging to a notorious drug trafficker, Dharminder, which was built on government land.
The action aimed at weakening the financial infrastructure of drug networks operating in the region.
Dharminder, a resident of Dhankiya Mohalla, Jalandhar, had allegedly constructed this building at Dhankiya Mohalla using proceeds from his illicit drug trade. The property stood on illegally occupied government land.
The demolition was carried out by a joint team of the Municipal Corporation and the police, with heavy machinery deployed to bring down the structure. Security personnel were stationed at the site to prevent any untoward incident during the operation.
As per police, Dharminder is a repeat offender with six criminal cases registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and other Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
