The Jalandhar Commissionerate police have arrested a man in possession of foreign currency worth Rs 2 crore at a routine checkpoint near Sant Nagar here late Monday night.

The man has been identified as Puneet Sood, a resident of Hoshiarpur.

He was unable to provide documentation for the substantial amount, resulting in his immediate arrest and the filing of a case against him.
