Ivy World School in collaboration with the Jalandhar District Olympic Association and District Cricket Association hosted the inauguration ceremony of the Jalandhar Premier League (JPL), War Against Drugs Edition, marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to fitness and a drug-free society.
The event was attended by Dr Himanshu Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner, Dhanpreet Kaur, Commissioner of Police, Nitin Kohli, AAP halqa in-charge, Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, chairman of Vasal Education, and CEO, Raghav Vasal.
The ceremony began with a heartfelt welcome by the student hosts, who highlighted the essence of the JPL not merely as a tournament, but as a movement to unite communities and the youth under the mission of the Yudh Nasheyan Virudh, building a healthier, drug-free society through sports.
The dignitaries, along with the school management, unveiled the Jalandhar Premier League Trophy 2025. Following the inauguration, the toss marked the beginning of the opening match between Ivy World School and Army Public School. Both teams played well and showcased sportsmanship.
Students of Ivy World School presented a pom pom dance, followed by gidha and stunning gymnastics display, celebrating the spirit of creativity, coordination and youthful energy.
