Jalandhar: St Soldier Divine Public School
Jalandhar: St Soldier Divine Public School organised an auspicious paath of Sukhmani Sahib and langar in school campus on the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab of 10th Sikh Master Guru Gobind Singh. Arrangements for paath and langar were made by the teachers and students. The school was decorated beautifully. Parents and community members visited the school and expressed their gratitude. In the end, Ardas was performed for the prosperity of school and a bright future for students. Thereafter, langar was served among the students, staff, parents and community members. Group Chairman Anil Chopra and vice- chairperson Sangeeta Chopra congratulated those present and told them to seek blesssings of the Guru for their bright future.
Apeejay College of Fine Arts
Students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts were honoured for their performance at the seven-day NSS camp. Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra congratulated the students and said their morale was high at the camp and the cold winter couldn’t stop them from becoming a part of it. At the technical session held on the seventh day of NSS camp, Trupti Sethi, psychologist from ANR Hospital, and Aastha Pasi from PGT Psychology, La Blossom School, were present. Tanishq was given the title of Most Punctual Volunteer while Abiroop won accolades by getting the title of All Rounder. Shivansh got honoured for his leadership qualities and Vansh got the title of being the Most Jovial Volunteer. Nisar won the title of Most Disciplined, Bhavini won hearts with her Best Anchoring in Hindi and Vanshika with her Best Anchoring in English. Smriti got the title of Most Creative and Ishaan got the title of Tech-Savvy. The Most Inquisitive title went to Mehtab, and the Most Hard Worker title went to Sandeep. Most Vibrant volunteer award was given to Lavisha. Askhat got the title of Best Singer. A special appreciation for dance performance was given to Chahat.
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
A havan yajna was performed to initiate the new academic semester on a pious note in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. The serene atmosphere was filled with the holy chants and incense fragrance. Vice-president DAVCMC and Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, Justice (retd) NK Sud was also present on the occasion. Principal Prof Ajay Sareen and all members of HMV family invoked the Almighty to seek his blessings. Principal Dr Sareen extended a warm welcome to the HMV family in the New Year. She conveyed the blessings of Padma Shree awardee Dr Punam Suri, president, DAVCMC, and reiterated his statement that collective prayers are truly effective for the success of a task. Justice Sud also congratulated HMV for all the achievements in the previous year and gave his best wishes.
Emm Aar International School
Four bright students of Class 9 from Emm Aar International School — Mansi, Umang, Jasmeet and Jaspreet Singh, accompanied by their teacher Satish Kumar —- embarked on a thrilling environmental exploration at the Nature Camp organised by Pushpa Gujral Science City. The two-day residential camp was held on January 15-16 as part of the Mission Life initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The camp aimed to provide students with a hands-on understanding of ecosystems, ecology and the wonders of nature. Through immersive activities like exploring the rich biodiversity of Harike wetland, embarking on nature trail, collecting nature specimens, participating in engaging biodiversity and environment games, and engaging in bird watching, students gained a first-hand knowledge of the natural world.
