Kohli said such projects would play a vital role in advancing Jalandhar towards becoming a Smart City. He added that the food street will not only benefit local residents, but also attract tourists, offering them a wide variety of hygienic food options in a clean and safe environment. Kohli further said the project will be completed within the stipulated time without compromising on quality.

Mayor Dhir highlighted that providing better infrastructure facilities to citizens remains the top priority of the Municipal Corporation. He said the new food street will generate employment opportunities while also giving Jalandhar a fresh identity. “It will become a new landmark for the city, and residents will soon see its positive impact,” Dhir remarked.

Local residents and traders welcomed the move, stating that the city had long needed a dedicated food street where families and the youth could spend time in a safe and vibrant atmosphere.
