Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will be handing over appointment letters to 2,500 ETT teachers on April 1, of which 700 teachers will be assigned to Hoshiarpur district. This will ensure that the shortage of teachers in the schools of the district is over. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains gave this assurance to Chabbewal MLA Dr Ishank Kumar today when he raised the issue of vacant posts of teachers in primary and secondary schools of Chabbewal segment.

Dr Ishank Kumar appealed to the Education Minister to fill the vacant posts in the schools of Chabbewal Assembly constituency soon so that the level of education can get a boost. He said that according to the current data, many schools are still facing a huge shortage of teachers, on which the Education Minister should pay special attention and fill the posts. Responding to the MLA’s appeal, Education Minister Bains said in the past, there was a huge shortage of teachers in the schools of Chabbewal Assembly constituency, but the Punjab government did not allow any school to remain vacant without teachers.
