It was decided that a protest demonstration will take place on August 6 at 2.00 pm at PUDA Ground near the Tehsil Complex in Jalandhar. The protest will culminate with the symbolic burning of an effigy of the Punjab government.

In addition, on August 12 at 2.30 pm, members from the Phillaur tehsil will stage a similar demonstration at the water tank location, including the burning of the government’s effigy.

Prominent state-level leaders in attendance included Tirath Singh Bassi, Karamjeet Singh Sonu, and Raghubir Singh. The Joint Front stressed that the government’s continued avoidance of dialogue has forced them to escalate their agitation in the coming days.
