Jubilant BJP, AAP celebrate election victory

While silence pervaded the Congress and Akali Dal offices in the district, the BJP and AAP offices were marked with jubilation. Party leaders burst crackers, danced to dhol beats, distributed laddoos and congratulated each other.
With the NDA poised for a sweeping victory in the Bihar elections, BJP leaders in Jalandhar celebrated outside the party's Sheetla Mata Mandir office, dancing away to the beats of dhols.
Meanwhile, with the convincing victory of AAP candidate in Tarn Taran by-election Harmeet Singh Sandhu, the party leaders also tapped their feet to the accompaniment of drum beats and distributed sweets, raising slogans of triumph. Various party leaders held different celebrations across constituencies.
At the BJP's Sheetla Mandir office celebrations, the party's national executive member and former state minister Manoranjan Kalia, state general secretary Rakesh Rathore, party district president Sushil Sharma, senior BJP leader Karmajit Kaur Choudhary, former MLA Sarabjit Singh Makkar, district general secretary Ashok Sarin Hickey and Rajesh Kapur, among others, joined in the celebrations.
BJP district president Sushil Sharma, leaders Manoranjan Kalia and Rakesh Rathour said Bihar had voted for the development of the entire country under PM Narendra Modi's government and the victory was a reflection of people's trust in PM Modi. Among others, BJP former district president Raman Pabbi, Subhash Sood, BJP business cell leader Ravinder Dhir, Sunny Sharma, Anuj Sharda, Manoj Kumar Agarwal, district secretary Sham Sharma and Vinay Sabharwal, among others, was present.
AAP's Harmeet Singh Sandhu's win in the Tarn Taran bypoll also invited multiple events. AAP minister and MLA, Jalandhar West, Mohinder Bhagat and AAP Jalandhar Central in-charge, Nitin Kohli, both held separate celebrations in their respective constituencies. Minister Mohinder Bhagat said Tarn Taran bypoll win was a big victory for the honest, transparent and people-centric leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Nitin Kohli, AAP in-charge, Jalandhar Central, described the victory as a clear signal from the people for the 2027 Punjab assembly elections.
Among others, Jalandhar Mayor Vanit Dhir, district president Jalandhar Urban, Amritpal; organisation in-charge Harcharan Singh Sandhu; district media in-charge Jalandhar Urban, Sanjeev Bhagat; leaders Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Keemti Bhagat, Harsimran Bunty, Onkar Rajiv, Harjinder Lada and Sunita Walia, among others, were present.
Meanwhile, in neighbouring Hoshiarpur, BJP Sports Cell, Punjab, under the chairmanship of former state president Dr Raman Ghai, celebrated the Bihar victory. District BJP president Nipun Sharma distributed sweets on the occasion. State secretary Meenu Sethi said the credit goes to PM Modi's leadership, his policies and dedication to the people.
Former Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Tikshan Sood said Bihar had expressed its faith in the policies of NDA. District BJYM president Shivam Ohri also hailed the party’s historic victory in Bihar.
