‘Kalakriti’ art exhibition marks Basant Panchami
AGI Global School marked Basant Panchami with a vibrant art exhibition, ‘Kalakriti,’ celebrating both creativity and cultural heritage. The event, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020’s focus on integrating art into education, showcased a diverse range of student talent.
Students from different age groups presented a stunning array of artistic creations, including block printing, tile painting, mosaics, mandala designs and lipon art.
The exhibition also highlighted skills of students in photography, folk dance, theatre and the traditional craft of making mud utensils.
To add to the festive atmosphere, students performed a musical prayer in honour of Goddess Saraswati. Rangoli displays and kite-flying became additional highlights of the celebration.
The school chairperson, Salwinderjit Kaur inaugurated the exhibition, praising the students for their artistic achievements. The director, Harleen Mohanty emphasised the importance of art in education, reflecting the goals of the National Education Policy.
Arti Sharma also lauded the students’ creative expressions, noting the depth of themes explored in their work. Parents and visitors expressed their admiration for the exhibition, appreciating the school’s initiative to foster artistic expression and cultural engagement among students.
