Kanika wins first place in online poster making contest

Hoshiarpur, June 6

Science and eco club of DAV College of Education, Hoshiarpur, organised an inter-college online e-poster making competition on the theme “Eco System Restoration” to mark the World Environment Day. Thirty two participants from different colleges of Panjab University, Chandigarh, participated in the competition. The purpose of this competition was to spread awareness among students to conserve the environment in the highest interest of mankind. Monika Sood, Principal, DAV Senior Secondary School, was the judge of the event. Kanika from Sai College of Education, Sardulapur, got the first prize, Shraddha Singh from AS College of Education, Khanna, got second while Jasmin Kaur of Sai College of Education, Sardulapur, got third prize and Samta Malhotra from SBHSM Khalsa College of Education, Mahilpur, got the appreciation prize. College managing committee president Dr Anoop Kumar, secretary principal (retd) DL Anand, director Dr SS Sharma and principal of the college Dr Vidhi Bhalla congratulated the winners. Principal also lauded the efforts of the members of the organising committee, Dr Arti Saluja and Vishakha Baroota. She said it was the responsibility of each of us to be more mindful of our daily actions to minimise impact on the ecosystem.
