A book titled ‘Prakash: The Light Eternal’, penned by Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Principal Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi, was released here on Tuesday.
This book was written in the memory of the author’s mother Prakash Sharma, who was a teacher and a revered figure.
The book was officially released by Chander Mohan, president of Arya Shiksha Mandal. Members of the KMV Managing Committee — Dr Sushma Chawla (vice president), Neerja Chander Mohan, Dhruv Mittal, Prof Suresh Seth, Sushila Bhagat, Dr Kamal Gupta, Dr Satpal Gupta, Dr Deepali Luthra and Shiv Mittal — graced the occasion.
Prakash Sharma’s students, who are making significant contributions in various fields and admired their beloved teacher, were also present during the event.
Prof Dwivedi said writing the book was not just a scholarly endeavour, but a personal mission to honour her mother’s life and legacy.
She emphasised, “For me, the book is more than just a book. It is a chronicle of values, ethics and the power of human endurance.”
Through intimate stories, photographs and personal anecdotes, the book paints a vivid picture of a woman who lived her life with unwavering dedication, not only to her family but to society at large. A section of the book also contains poems penned by Parkash Sharma.
